https://revista.redgade.com/index.php/EDIS/article/view/57

Social inequality has been a highly studied problem from various fields of study given its importance in the economy and in society itself. In the case of Sincelejo, the objective of this research was to study how people's income has influenced inequality. In this sense, a research question was posed to globally analyze the current panorama of inequality in the city. On the other hand, and in order to answer the question and to know the perceptions of the people immersed in the subject, a mixed survey was carried out on a group of ten people chosen at random, from different socioeconomic strata and income levels. Likewise, a direct observation technique of the variables and the environment was used. Finally, after knowing the opinions of the people surveyed, it was found that most of the people know or are affected by inequality, likewise they see as the main cause of this the low levels of income and the precarious segmentation of the labor market and, in the same way, they agree that a possible solution to this problem would be a greater generation of opportunities by the government. Having said this, and in a very general way, we can conclude that social inequality by income in Sincelejo is a latent problem of which there is knowledge and by which many people are affected.
Luz Mariana Ortega LópezArmando Brieva MontesMaicol Galván Sierra
