Abstract

Contreras, F., Ramírez, Y. (2023). Determination of Joint Mobility Arcs and Muscle Retractions in Students of the Degree in Physical Education, Recreation and Sports at the Universidad Del Atlántico. The objective of this study was to determine the Joint Mobility Arcs and Muscular Retractions in the Students of the Degree in Physical Education, Recreation and Sports of the Universidad Del Atlántico. Fifty-eight subjects between the ages of 17 and 23, male and female, were analyzed. Data were collected from the evaluation of Daza Lesmes' joint mobility in the upper and lower extremities. Differences <1° and >9° were found for the different joint movements that trigger a decrease between 15% and 25%, reaching the conclusion that mild and moderate muscle retractions occur in the different muscle groups involved in each of the movements. movements evaluated. However, due to the high cost of the new technologies, we continue with the measurement of the ranges of movement with the traditional goniometer, it is still the most used for the evaluations of the joint mobility ranges and the results obtained in this study will serve as a base and support. for new research in college students.
