Empirical approach to the challenges of human resources managers in the context of 10 Angolan private sector companies
Abstract
The scope of this research is to analyze the biggest challenges that human resources managers face daily in human resources management in Angolan companies. To materialize the objective, a field study was carried out in 10 companies in the province of Luanda to better understand this topic. The approach method was qualitative. The interview was the technique used. Content analysis was used to analyze and interpret the data. The results indicate that the main challenges are the shortage of qualified labor, the recruitment of national specialists, the poor working conditions provided by some companies, talent retention, adaptation to the work environment, alignment of personal and organizational objectives, absenteeism and pay dissatisfaction. As a limitation of the study, the nature of the research stands out. The combination of mixed research would help to better understand the phenomenon under study in the Angolan context. However, the results obtained are only valid for the companies studied, limiting possible generalizations.
