Effectiveness of the UEFA futsal coaches' manual on coordination and changes of direction in adolescents aged 12 to 14
Abstract
In the educational and training process, coordination and changes of direction are essential because they directly impact and contribute to adolescent performance. However, in urban areas such as the municipality of Cucutilla, limitations are observed in the systematic development of this population. This research aimed primarily to contribute to these motor skills in adolescents aged 12 to 14, using a training program based on the UEFA manual for futsal coaches. This intervention lasted 16 weeks under a pre-experimental design with three weekly sessions, each applying specific coordination and changes of direction training. The ladder test, the linear test, and the free mat were used, supported by an instrument such as the My Jump to measure or record the time taken by each participant before and after the intervention. It was concluded that the program serves as an effective alternative for implementation in areas with limited resources, strengthening sports practice.
