Didactic strategy to facilitate the learning of literacy in a girl with cerebral palsy: case study

Abstract

Reading and writing is an essential need within the academic field, it is taught from an early age to develop thinking, personality formation and motor skills. Within this educational process, recreational activities are used as a strategy, a tool that helps the acquisition of adequate learning. But what happens if the girl manifests motor problems as a result of Cerebral Palsy (CP) that leaves as a consequence a spastic type of treble. This is the reason for designing and applying a didactic strategy to promote the use of recreational activities as a resource. for the teaching-learning of reading and writing, considering that it presents motor problems. The work is based on a descriptive research with a qualitative approach and the sample is a 5-year-old girl with a normal average IQ and motor problems (slow, sudden and imprecise movements) with greater predominance of her left hand, she attends Psychopedagogical consultation to develop skills and abilities that facilitate motor mastery and therefore the acquisition of reading and writing. To obtain the diagnosis, psychometric instruments were applied that allowed us to know both the strong and weak areas. Based on this, a strategy was developed with recreational activities that favored better management by the girl of the motor area when performing the didactic exercises. established.
