Abstract

Evaluate the impact of the implementation of educational technology on teaching-learning processes and student academic outcomes. A total of 38 studies meeting the eligibility criteria were analyzed. The results show that the integration of educational technology has a positive and significant impact. The findings of this systematic review demonstrate that the effective implementation of educational technology has a positive and significant effect on various aspects of the educational process. These results support the importance of promoting the integration of technological tools in school environments to improve student learning outcomes. The main conclusions were that technology has allowed to innovate and improve educational processes, providing new tools and approaches. Also, at least in Latin America, the impact of technology on education varies according to the level of development and the conditions of each country in the region. Therefore, the type of education (e.g., face-to-face, distance, hybrid) influences how technology is integrated and the scope of its impact.
