Impact of economic management on entrepreneurship in small and medium-sized enterprises in local contexts
Abstract
The use of entrepreneurship as a vital driver of local change and development is influenced by various economic factors. This research article focuses on the impact of economic management on entrepreneurship in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within local contexts in the city of Quevedo, in the Los Ríos zone of Ecuador. It analyses the influence of factors affecting entrepreneurship on the main variables under study, with a view to proposing entrepreneurial strategies for SMEs in the region, including shortcomings such as insecurity and rising extortion, increased operating costs, weak external investment and limited access to formal finance. The aim of the research is to design entrepreneurial strategies, based on an analysis of the factors influencing entrepreneurship, to promote the sustainable economic and financial development of the SMEs under study. This study provides a theoretical and practical perspective on entrepreneurship based on the matrix of types of enterprises and the strategies derived from it.
