Assessment of the motor coordination of students in grade 3 of the INEM Lorenzo María Lleras Educational Institution - El Ceibal, Monteria.
Abstract
The evaluation of motor coordination is fundamental in the field of physical education, recreation and sports because it allows us to identify movement patterns, strengths and areas for improvement in students of different ages. Motor coordination is undoubtedly a fundamental pillar in all human beings because of how essential it is to walk, run, jump, perform physical activity or any task of daily life, for these reasons it is our subject to assess in children of the educational institution INEM Lorenzo Maria Lleras - Ceibal, Monteria. The intervention was done through measurements and standardized tests from which we can calculate aspects of motor coordination and its expressions, such as locomotor coordination and coordination with object control (with the foot or hand), in addition to precision, balance, speed and synchronization of movements. These assessments provide valuable data to design personalized interventions and support motor development in special needs populations. In children, early detection of motor difficulties facilitates timely action, favoring the development of basic motor skills that positively impact their learning and quality of life.
