Strategic analysis in the financial environment of companies
Abstract
At present, the formulation of investment projects requires a multivariate and interdisciplinary approach, where the amount of the investment, that is, the initial disbursement to be made and the annual cash flows will allow the return of such investment, constituting key elements for the process. An adequate analysis and diagnosis of the financial environment in a convincing way would contribute to determine the discount rate to be used in the valuation of the financial viability of the investment projects in the enterprises of the Food Industry Business Group of Santiago de Cuba. A detailed analysis of the information provided by the environment and the financial market at the time of the investment study is a primary source of information for the whole process. By adapting the SWOT analysis and the financial market matrix, the information is obtained as a preamble to the process.
